Saskatoon, Saskatchewan β May 2026
We have now completed our initial round of field testing.
Over the past several weeks, our prototype drone system was deployed on test plots in Saskatchewan. The goal was simple: test real-world performance under actual prairie conditions.
Early Results
- Weed Elimination Rate: Promising initial accuracy on broadleaf and grassy weeds, including known herbicide-resistant species.
- Crop Safety: Zero visible damage to the main crop in controlled passes.
- Operating Speed: Current prototype covers meaningful acreage per hour, with clear room for optimization as we refine the system.
- Laser Effectiveness: The 320-watt laser units successfully destroyed target weeds at the cellular level with very short exposure times.
These are early results from small-scale test plots. We are encouraged by the data, but we also recognize there is still significant work ahead β improving speed, reliability in varying weather conditions, and scaling the system for commercial use.
Whatβs Next
We will continue iterative testing throughout the season. Each round of trials gives us valuable data to refine the AI vision system, laser targeting, and overall drone integration.
Our focus remains on building a practical, durable solution that fits into real Saskatchewan farm operations β not just a lab prototype.
We will continue sharing transparent updates as testing progresses. The road from prototype to commercial product is long, but the early signs are positive.
